Description: Complete bronze looped socketed axe. Rectangular sectioned mouth, with rounded corners. Prominent, angular collar at mouth, upper edge well-finished. Horizontal moulded ridge below collar on all sides. Straight blade. Side loop attached at ridge. Slight casting flashes at seams. Most of clay core intact. A well-cast and finished example. L: 130 W. mouth: 35.5 B. mouth: 45 Socket dims.: 25-28 B. loop: 8.5. Part of a hoard of 68 Armorican socketed axeheads.
