Description: Complete bronze looped socketed axe. Square-sectioned mouth, with rounded corners. Straight blade. Very prominent collar at mouth, with prominent moulded horizontal ridge below on all sides, apart from the side where the loop is placed. Clay core intact. Damage to front surface, probably during excavation. The loop is of a very uneven thickness. L: 130 W. mouth: 36.5 B. mouth: 40 Socket dims.: 24 x 25.5 W. loop: 9. Part of a hoard of 68 Armorican socketed axeheads.
