Description: A Late Medieval/ Post-Medieval (1400-1800) probably lead-alloy fragment from a pair of scissors, consisting of one finger-loop and a projection to one side of the outside edge. It measures 24.81mm in diameter (internal 19.03mm) and weighs 4.9g. The hoop is circular and 2.61mm in thickness. It has a flat, square bezel 10.68.3mm, which has some damage at one of the edges and is decorated with a quatrefoil with a small cross at the centre. The hoop and the shoulders are of equal thickness, with a wide prominent mid-rib.
