Description: Complete copper-alloy looped socketed axe. Rectangular-sectioned mouth with rounded corners. Almost vertical sides, straight blade. Prominent collar at mouth with uneven upper edge. Prominent horizontal moulding below collar on all sides. A well-cast and finished example. L: 129 W. mouth: 35.5 B. mouth: 45.5 Socket dims.: 25 x 29.5 W. loop: 8.5. Part of a hoard of 68 Armorican socketed axeheads.
