Description: Copper-alloy looped socketed axe. Rectangular-sectioned mouth with rounded corners. Sides expanding out slightly, straight blade. Prominent collar at mouth with uneven upper edge. Horizontal moulded decoration on front and back below collar. On one side the horizontal moulding has a median vertical moulding joining the collar. Side loop of uneven breadth. Casting flashes along all seams. L: 130 W. mouth: 32.5 B. mouth: 42 Socket dims.: 23.5-33 W. loop: 8.5. Part of a hoard of 68 Armorican socketed axeheads.
