Description: A corroded and bent cast copper-alloy double-looped buckle of post-medieval date (c. 17th century AD). The buckle is sub-oval in form with rounded triangular protrusions at either end of the pin bar; the pin is missing. Each outer edge is flat and the corners angled. The buckle is bevelled externally on the upper surface and internally on the lower. The buckle has a dark red-brown colour. One of the loops has been bent upwards in profile. A similar example can be found illustrated in Whitehead (1996, 71; ref. 443).
