BUCKLE 38801

Description: Fragment, sheet copper-alloy buckle plate. Originally rectangular, folded. Broken off at fold and on upper plate. Two copper-alloy rivets intact; one dome-headed, the other broken. The upper surface is decorated with a central circle enclosing a cross with concave sides and each angle has rocker-arm ornament. There is a linear slightly concave, peripheral border with rocker-arm engraved motif on the inside. Even, mid-green patina. Dims.: 25 x 22.5 Wt: 3.5g (incomplete, good)
