STRAP END 32593

Description: Fragment, cast copper-alloy composite strap-end. Only the front plate now surviving. Sub-circular, with flat sub-lozengiform knop. Wide, spade-shaped aperture at the top. There are four rivet holes; two below the aperture and one on either side at the top of it; three copper-alloy rivets remain. The upper surface of the plate and the knop are decorated with incised lines and four small hatched areas.
