Description: An incomplete copper alloy component from a Post-Medieval (1600-1900) barrel tap. It is circular in section (17.57mm diameter) and decorated with a pair of grooves. The broken end shows a smooth semi-circular area extending into a projection, which presumably controlled the mechanism when turned.
It weighs 48.8g and survives to a length of 28.31mm.
