Description: Medieval copper alloy/ bronze (possibly leaded bronze) lug handle from a quite massive cauldron (Roderick Butler, the Butler Collection). It is circular in section, measuring c.19mm in diameter, curving (including the crook of the arm) and 52.07mm in length. It weighs 101.6g. Casting flashes are visible on either side from the edges of the mould. 13th/ 14th century in date.
