STRAP FITTING 199893

Description: Incompelte 16th/ 17th century copper alloy sword belt fitting, very worn and missing its hook or loop (old, worn break). It measures 21.6x15.7x2.2mm and weighs 3.11g. At the centre is a 1.7mm diameter piercing and it is decorated with scrolled foliage. Cf. Read 2001 p.43 fig.26 no.373 for shape and decoration.
