Description: Incomplete copper alloy medieval double oval buckle frame, missing most of one loop. It retains its pin. The frame measures 20.1x19.1mm (internal surviving loop 12.8x12.9mm) and would have originally been c.34mm in length. It weighs 2.60g. The frame is triangular in section with a sloping outer edge. The underside is flat. The axis bar extends slightly to one side of the frame. The pin is D-shaped in section with a flat underside and is 21.1mm long. 14th/ 15th century in date.
