COIN 177078
Description: A worn 17th-century silver post-medieval 4 sols piece of Louis XIV dated 1676 AD. The mint director's privy mark (a laurel crown or wreath) visible above the obverse bust means that this coin was struck at the central, Parisian mint during the tenure of Jean Hindret (Krause & Mishler 2003 (17th century, 3rd edition), 209, 218; KM# 232.1). This coin has been bent twice after the manner of a love token.
