Description: Incomplete medieval copper alloy double oval buckle frame, missing its pin. It measures 30x18.8mm (internal loops 9-10x13mm) and weighs 3.25g. The entire frame is decorated with transverse grooves. the outside edges are slightly wide than the rest of the frame, and as a whole the frame bends slightly upwards on either side from the axis bar. Double oval buckle frames in Egan's Dress Accessories 1991 date to the late 14th/ early 15th century.
