STRAP FITTING 130039

Description: Medieval copper alloy pendent loop hanging from a bar mount, very similar to Egan's no.1191 (1991). The pendent loop is circular (11.3mm diameter, internal 7mm) with an offset narrowed circular-section bar. The loop has a flat underside and the inner edge is thicker tahn the outer. The bar mount is rectangular, its loop is very worn and the rivet is fixed on the reverse with a c.5mm square of copper alloy. Weighs 1.19g. Incomplete length 20.4mm. Dates to 14th century.
