Description: Possibly medieval roughly circular (but irregular) chunky lead ?weight with a ?bird shaped impression on each face. It measures 29.8x26.7mm in diameter and is 12.7mm thick to one side and 10.4mm at the opposite side. It weighs 58.38g (2.06oz, 901.0gn). The bird design consists of a relatively narrow body with rather wider wings to either side, measuring c.18x11mm and 22x15mm. The smaller bird has a V-shaped wingspan while the other is more vertical. Perhaps this had a use in medieval design?
