Description: Rather damaged and incomplete copper alloy Roman Rosette brooch, missing a wing and lower triangular foot, catchplate pin and hinge mechanism. Its estimated wing diameter is 27mm though at present the width is 21mm. The length is also 21mm, and the brooch weighs 2.52g. There appears to be no decoration on the brooch, at the centre of which is a 1mm diameter hole. 1st century.
