STRAP FITTING 112954

Description: Copper alloy mount with an integral pointed lug. The mount is generally triangular and is slightly convex with a concave reverse. The upper surface has moulded decoration in the form of a central triangular motif with a large beaded border. The edge of the mount is also beaded and there is a raised transverse ridge across each corner. The single integral pointed lug protrudes from the reverse, is rectangular in section and is bent over. Considerable gilding survives on the upper surface with traces also present on the reverse.
