Description: Copper alloy single plate with a hook. The plate is flat on the reverse, the upper surface forming a central ridge so that it is triangular in section (L. 16mm. W. 8.7mm. Th. 5.6mm). There are two large circular sectioned rivets located at each end of the plate on the reverse. The hook, which is thinner than the plate, extends from one end of the plate, is inward curving and tapers gently to a rounded point (D. 20.6mm. W. 8.1-4.3mm. Th. 5.15-3.3mm). The inner surface of the hook is slightly convex and the upper surface is convex so that the hook is broadly oval in section. The surface of the hook is quite badly corroded.
