Description: A complete anonymous cast copper alloy seal matrix of Medieval (circa 14th century) date. The handle is waisted with a round suspension loop. The die face is circular and 20.6mm in diameter. It depicts a bird, right, with folded wings and an object in front which may be a droplet or egg. The legend reads FORE[C or L]ER[+]S, ending with a retrograde S after a cross-filled square.
