Description: A bent fragment of a cast copper alloy Roman brooch comprising the foot and a stump of the catchplate. The bow has a plano-convex cross section and tapers to a rounded tip. The surface is corroded but there appear to be grooves along each edge delineating the spine. Circa 1st century AD.
