Description: A pierced and gilded sixpence of Elizabeth I, coronet initial mark and dated to 1567. As North 1997. The coin has been deliberately bent into an S-shape. The edge of the piercing is rough on the reverse side, suggesting that it was pierced from the obverse side and perhaps fixed by a nail in order to display the obverse.
