Description:

Hale Park has medieval origins and was held by the Penruddocks (1538-1715), the Archers (1715-1788), the Mays (1789-1836) and finally the Goffs, before the estate was sold off in 1920. Major Fitzherbert-Wright then owned a much reduced Hale Park estate until he in turn sold it in 1926 to the Booth-Joneses. The house was built by Thomas Archer (who was an architect) when he acquired the estate in 1715 and remodelled by Henry Holland Jnr in 1770.
