During the 1860s it was owned by Mrs Georgina Aide (1791-1875) and her son Hamilton (b. 1831), who 'travelled a great deal, made pretty sketches and wrote many novels'; during the 1870s, by Dr George Nunn (1845-1891). During both ownerships, the house was let, in the 1870s to Dr Walter Cambell Blaker (1849-1922). Mrs Frances Sarah Chawner (1842-1925), widow of the Rev. C. H. Fox Chawner (1807-1888), lived there, 1895-1925.
