Durns House

Widnell, p. 383: ‘Messrs Crossleys ... shortly before the war ... built the House on the Shore for Lord John, and Durns, adjacent, for the Hon. A. Dudley Ryder.’ He lived there from at least 1915 until his death in 1950. His wife, a keen gardener, lived there until her death in 1958 [or ‘59].
