Description:

House built by Colonel Dudley Mills, RE, ‘shortly before the war’ (Widnell, pp. 108, 286). It was one of ten houses taken over by the hush-hush troops during the WWII: The Rings, The House in the Wood, Hartford House, The Vineyards, Black Bridge, Clobb Gorse, The Drokes, Warren House (today Blackwater House), The House on the Shore, Boarmans.
