Rings, The
Description:
New house, occupied from 1915-20 by Sir Edward Ridley (1843-1928), Judge in the High Court of Justice (1897-1917)and Privy Councillor (1917), who translated Lucan's Pharsalia into blank verse and whose obituary said 'of country life he was very fond, and he was a keen student and observer of Nature.' In 1923 it was occupied by Mrs Coulson and Mrs du Cane.
