Description: 72.1 Chest. Rectangualar [oak] wood, panelled chest, with chequerboard design on lid top. With attached hinged lid and green coloured [beige] lining. Also with two brass coloured metal hinges, and central keyhole for half-mortice brass coloured metal chest lock. Made from reclaimed panelling, from Verderers Hall, Queens House, by David Moore. Brass coloured metal plaque on underside of lid with details of presentation to Forestry Commission on reopening of Queens House, 1983. Similar plaque on underside of base with information on chest construction. 72.2 Key. Small, white metal skeleton type key for lock operation of 72.1.
