Description: New Forest Keepers Button, once belonging to George Ewin Maynard (great great uncle of donor) who died in 1883. Round brass button 22.5mm diameter. Rope rimmed with raised inner circle. Showing the crown over the Rufus stirrup with a scroll between and attached to the top of the stirrup reading NEW FOREST. Made by WH Smith and Co, Birmingham (inscribed on back)
