Description: A second edition of Heywood Sumner's 'A Guide to the New Forest' rebound in a red cover. Inside, a number of original letters written by Heywood Sumner to Miss Hardcastle and P.D. Mundy Esq have been glued, as well as a few small newspaper clippings. Miss Hardcastle has made a few handwritten notes inside the book, most notably on page 52, regarding the Burley dragon, which is also referenced in one of Heywood Sumner's letters to Mr Mundy, dated April 27, 1926, one year after the 2nd edition was published.
