Two contemporary fair copies of a return to the House of Commons by James H. Ashurst, Treasurer of the Society, of all churches and parsonage houses in the diocese built or restored at a cost exceeding £500 since 1840

Description: Arranged by deaneries. The return includes particulars of all grants to churches made by the Society. Another copy in Ashurst's hand is Bodleian: Summ. Cat. no.31, 152. The return for the whole country ('Lord Hampton's return') is printed as Parliamentary Command Paper no.125, 1876 (Oxford diocese pp.49-55).
