Description: From (a) Edward Luckins of Wiston, yeoman, by the direction of (b) Jane Luckins formerly of Ashurst and since of Henfield, widow and administratrix of Luke Luckins of Ashurst, wheelwright, deceased, and with the consent of (c) Luke Luckins of Ashurst, wheelwright, William Luckins of Beeding, wheelwright, Edward Luckins of Ashurst, wheelwright, and John Cook of Henfield, shopkeeper, and Jane, his wife, formerly Jane Luckins, spinster (which said Luke Luckins, William Luckins, Edward Luckins, and Jane Cook were the four children named in the Will of the said Luke Luckins deceased), to (d) Peter Marchant Lashmar of Steyning, gentleman Close called Townhouse Garden (1a2r0p) in Ashurst, formerly in occupation of George Charlett, since of the said Luke Luckins deceased, and later of the said Edward Luckins, with the messuage or tenement, wheelwrights shop and other premises erected thereon By this deed, in consideration of the sum of £150 paid to the said Edward Luckins, in redemption of the mortgage debt of 20 November 1802 (Add Mss 45800), and of the sum of £110, paid to the said Jane Luckins, the said property was assigned to the said Peter Marchant Lashmar for the residue of the said term of 2000 years Witnesses: John Tribe of Steyning, solicitor, and Henry Verrall and Benjamin White, clerks to Mr. Tribe
