Description: Edith Oxley of Skelmanthorp, Yorks, spinster, younger daughter of Thomas Oxley, late of the same place, dec'd, confirms that, on the marriage of William Brooke, her nephew, and the son and heir of Elizabeth Brooke, of Skelmanthorpe, widow, sister of Edith Oxley, and Anne Richardson, second daughter of Richard Richardson of Northbirch, Yorks, gent, she settled the following. Capital messuage with appurtenances, in Barnbie, lately in the tenure of Thomas Pasley, and now in the tenure of Robert Fawley, together with all buildings and lands belonging, to be to the use of Edith Oxley for life, then to the use of William Brooke, and his heirs.
