Description: Communicates the proceeding, in relation to settlements and dower, which have now been taken in contemplation of the marriage of Lord Ossory [with Lady Anne Hyde, daughter of Laurence, Lord Hyde, afterwards Earl of Rochester (so created in November of this year, 1682). The MS. mentions the dower or portion of the Lady as having been fixed by H.R.H. the Duke of York at "£200,000", which is probably an error of the pen for £20,000.] Has conferred with Sir Stephen Fox in relation to certain accounts of Lady Ossory.
