Description: Indenture made between 1.Richard Bird of Edgton farmer, 2. Walter Burley of Shrewsbury, gent. 3. Timothy Oakley the younger of Norton, gent. Whereas by indenture August 17, 1811 between Richard Bird and Walter Burley, consideration £100 paid to Richard by Walter Burley. grant, bargain and sale to Walter Burley, all that messuage with barns, stables, gardens, orchards etc. and several pieces of meadow, pasture and arable land belonging, The Sand Pitts or Cow pasture, The Long Bush, The Broads, The Clay Pitts, The Broomy Hill, a piece of land in Hopeshead Common field, Camham, The Linch gate Leasow The Rise, The Common Meadow Piece, a Piece or Parcel of Woodland lying in Shortwood and Calves Close, all which messuages, tenements parcels of land contain 29 acres, situated in the parishes of Edgton and Lydbury North. To hold by Walter Burley and heirs for term of 500 years subject to assignment of mortgage of premises made to David Evans of Wigmore, farmer for securing to him £500 and interest. Proviso that terms to be void on payment by Richard Bird of £100 and interest to Walter Burley. £100 still due and owing 1817 and 30£ interest. Payment required by Walter Burley, advancement by Timothy Oakley to Richard Bird of £130 on assignment of messuage or premises to enable him, Richard Bird to satisfy the sum £130. Indenture witnesses that in pursuance of agreement, and consideration of £130 to Walter Burley by Timothy Oakley by direction of Richard Bird, that Walter Burley has bargained and transferred to Richard Bird, consideration 10s paid to Timothy Oakley by Richard Bird, and that Richard Bird has bargained and sold to Timothy Oakley all above premises. Subject to same terms and interest of Walter Burley, and mortgages to David Evans. Proviso. On repayment of £130 and interest to Timothy Oakley, surrender of premises. Received on the day of the date of the within written Indenture of and from the within named Timothy Oakley the sum of £130 being the full consideration money within mentioned to be by him paid to me.
