Description: Lease of the School house of Downton and the annual profits of two fairs, and the interest on a small capital sum invested, for the life of the master appointed, in return for his giving free teaching to twelve boys "being the children of some of the poorest burgomasters of the said Borough (Downton)". With a note on the back of the livery of seizin on 9 Oct. 1772.
