Nature of request: The Abbot requests that the convent is able to enjoy the portions of the abbey's lands granted to them without any seizure being made by the escheator, and the same to be at farm by the king's letters patent, and that the abbey is able to be discharged of the suit against it in the Exchequer. The convent was granted the lands to be enjoyed at all times including vacancies but the barons of the Exchequer have sued to them by writ of scire facias to answer as to whether they have any reason why the temporalities should not be seized into the king's hand.
