Description: By JOHN UPPERTON of Easbourne, yeoman, to RICHARD BURLEY of Midhurst, butcher - for £16 - of a piece or parcel of land containing ½ acre in Midhurst on the N. side of Whipp Hill and adjoining to the river, N. and to land of Viscount Montaigu formerly the land of Richard Coldham, gent., in the occupation of Mary Morrison, widow, S. and also adjoining to a piece of meadow ground which the said Richard Burley lately purchased of Ogle Riggs junr Signature, John Upperton and amorial seal Witnesses to deed and livery of seisin:- Tho: Croucher, Thomas Court, Charles Adames
