Description: This was an action in the High Court of Justice, Common Pleas Division (1877 D 134), brought by Reginald Windsor Sackville, 7th Earl De La Warr, as lord of the manor of Duddleswell, to restrain Sir Spencer Maryon Wilson, 10th Bart of Searles, Fletching, from digging and carrying away stone, turf and hollies from the waste of the manor. The Defendant claimed the right to do so as inhabitant of certain lands with rights of common on Ashdown Forest. See AMS3912 and the Introduction
