Burlington to Ormond : written from London

Description: The King's Declaration in Council of the previous day has given satisfaction to many but great discomfort to others. The contentious proceedings at law to which the clandestine marriage of Mrs Hyde (daughter-in-law of Sir R. Vyner) has given occasion, are now to be followed by the appearance of the lady in the Court of King's Bench, before my Lord Chief Justice Hale. There will probably be much discourse and much charge before the affair is ended.
