Description: Relating to the attack by smugglers on the Customs House at Poole, Dorset, in Oct. 1747; to the murder the following February at Harting of William Galley, sen., customs officer, of Southampton, and Daniel Chater, shoemaker, of Fordingbridge, Hants., who were endeavouring to bring them to justice, and to the capture and conviction of the smugglers.
