Description: Bible presented to Shackleton by Queen Alexandra in July 1914. Lacks fly-leaf inscribed by Queen Alexandra and pp.551-556 & pp. 569-570 (These pages are in the possession of the Shackleton family, ????). The Bible was discarded by Shackleton: who retained the missing pages. J. E. McLeod picked up and kept the Bible, which he gave to a Mrs McLean. It was donated to the RGS by Commander Burley at the RGS meeting of 1st Nov. 1971.
