Description: being conveyance by lease and release from Sir John St. Barbe to Richard Norton and to Sir Villiers Chernocke Bt. of Holcutt (Beds.), Richard Norton of Ixworth, esquire, William Norton of Wellow, esquire, and Charles Norton of Southwick, esquire, as trustees to preserve the contingent uses, of the manor and advowson of Ashington (Som.), Ashington Farm, manor of Draycott in Limington (Som.), rectory and advowson of Marston or Broad Marston (Som.), messuage and lands in Chilton Cantlow (Som.), the site of Romsey Abbey, the manor of Romsey Infra, capital messuage called Broadlands, corn mill in Romsey, etc. Consideration of £4000 in hand and £1000 payable at death of Richard Norton.
