Description: PARTIES: 1a. Rt. Hon. William Lord Viscount Saye and Seale b. Sir Francis Wenning Kt. c. Sir Robert Jenkinson Kt. d. Sir William Cobb Kt. e. John Martyn Esq. Commissioners appointed by Chancery decree dated 17 June 10 Chas. I for redressing the misemployment of lands, goods, and stocks of money given to Charitable Uses according to Statute of Parl. 43 Eliz. J SUBJECT OF TRANSACTION: Recites earlier decree dated 30 Sept. 3 Chas I 1627 and that clauses are impossible to fulfil Now for the redress of these grievances, it is ordered by the parties that: The 3 men chosen annually to submit their accounts on the property are to do so on 4th Oct. (or if that be Sunday, on 5th Oct.) in the presence of the steward of the manor of Bloxham Beauchamp and Fiennes and as many of the tenants. holding land worth at least 20s.p.a. On the same day, 3 other men are to be chosen to deal with the accounts for the following year : 2men are to be elected and 1 man is to be appointed by 1a. All feoffees are impowered to let their land providing that they levy no fines and let no reversions All feoffees are empowered to purchase land in fee simple with the stock of money now in their hands, providing that the profits of such lands purchased are employed for the benefit of the poor in Bloxham. Lands so purchased are to lie anywhere in Oxfordshire or in a 10 miles radius of Bloxham. 1a. and his heirs must consent to each purchase. Recites that fines were imposed on the previous feofees who mishandled the accounts and orders that present feoffees are to render accounts of fines so far received by them, to 1a. together with an explanation for each of the fines not so far collected.
