Description: Notices a conversation with Lord Hyde, about the "salary to the Marshal's place", in which the writer expressed his belief that the Lord Lieutenant was against it, "only because you [Lord Arran] were his son; [on objection] which I hooped would not weigh with the King, or with Lord Hyde".
