Description: Draft indictment of John Vye of Southampton, baker, who on the 22nd of February, 1758 assaulted John Launder, one of the surveyors of the highway for the parishes of St. Michael and St. John. Endorsed: "Rex v Messer 7th 1757"; "Bill found 13 January 1753"; "Plea and traverse and recognizance April 7th"; "tried and convicted fined and discharged". Also letter from N.J.A. Mansfield, Ringwood, concerning a mortgage on property belonging to his father and mother to Mr. Parker of Gosport 23rd April, 1757.
