Consideration of £1000 with proviso for cancellation on payment by Whithed of £1000 to John Button or Anne his wife, according to the terms of an indenture of 19 September 1678 between 1) John Button and Anne his wife, 2) Roger Pope and Richard Helme of Aelsey (Berks.), gent., and 3) Henry Whithed; Richard Holt of Nurstead (Hants.), esquire; John Burwood of Lymington, esquire; Richard Norton of St. Giles in the Fields, esquire; and Richard Whithed the younger of Tytherley, esquire. To hold to Dillington and his co-trustees to enable them to convey the same according to a settlement of 19 February 1685 on the marriage of Richard Whithed and Anne, daughter of Anthony Keck.
