Description: Deeds of the manor of Thompson late of the College, Thompson College, Sheepwalk or right of shackage of 300 sheep, mortgaged by Mary Bond widow, sister of the Rev. John Cater, to Elizabeth Saint Clair spinster in 1750 and to Joseph Carter in 1759. In 1759 she conveyed it to her son-in-law John Morphew gent. and Samuel Hall Palmer, together with capital messuage, two tenements and blacksmith's shop in Little Ellingham, and in 1759 Robert Tooke surrendered a lease of Thompson College to Morphew. The manor, College, sheepwalk, and Thompson College Farm containing 180a. were then conveyed to William Tooke Esq. and the mortgages assigned to him. In 1789 Horatio, Baron Walpole, and the Hon. Horatio Walpole his son sold to William Tooke fee farm rent of £5/5/6¾ charged on the late college and manor of Thompson and Bedacre otherwise of Thompson Shropham and Bradacre or Shudy Camps (co. Cambridge), 1789.
