Author: EBOH
Sylvia Lovell was born in 1944 in East Boldre. When she was 13 her parents took over the running of Turf Cutters pub from her grandparents. When she first learnt to pull a pint, she had to stand on a beer crate to reach the pump. As a young child, Sylvie used to stand on the bar and sing for sixpences and used to stand on a beer crate to be the right height to reach the dart board!
