Description: Complete copper-alloy looped socketed axe. Straight sides expanding out slightly at straight blade. Rectangular-sectioned mouth with rounded corners. Prominent collar at mouth with prominent horizontal moulded ridge below on all sides. Casting flashes at seams. Upper edge of socket is even. Clay core mostly intact. A well-cast example. L: 129 W. mouth: 35 B. mouth: 48 Socket dims.: 25.5 x 32.5 W. loop: 6-9.5
